In Home Consultations
Moms
who need breastfeeding support and counseling are most comfortable in
their own home when dealing with breastfeeding issues. For this
reason, I travel to the client's home to offer my help and support in
the most relaxed and secure surroundings possible.
Home visits allow
the baby to be in an environment that is not overly stimulating,
and provides me with a better understanding of what a typical feeding
session looks like for each mother and child.
Observing in-home also
allows me to survey a mother's natural environment and make suggestions
if I notice anything that could be altered to increase the comfort and
ease of both mother and child during breastfeeding.
A
consultation visit generally includes observation of a feeding session,
an evaluation of baby's latch and position and hands on help to correct
any issues. I document everything regarding the visit and I will
provide you a copy. We will discuss any recommendations I have and
whether or not there is a need for additional visits. I will leave with
you any additional information related to my visit such as diaper count
logs or informational pamphlets.
I will also provide you a bill so you can file a claim with your insurance company.
Pricing:$75.00 for the initial visit to your home. This includes a full hour consultation and follow up phone calls.
$30.00 for follow up visits as necessary, related to the initial issue.
