This is your investment in your personal breastfeeding goals.
In Home Consultations
$45.00 for the initial visit to your home. This includes a full hour consultation and follow up phone calls.
$25.00 for follow up visits as necessary, related to the initial issue.
I will travel to your home for your consultation. I find that it is much more relaxed, for both mom and baby to do consultations in the home. It also gives me a more realistic view and understanding of what a feeding session looks like for you and you baby.
A consultation visit generally includes observation of a feeding session, an evaluation of baby's latch and position and hands on help to correct any issues. I document everything regarding the visit and I will provide you a copy. We will discuss any recommendations I have and whether or not there is a need for additional visits. I will leave with you any additional information related to my visit such as diaper count logs or informational pamphlets.
I will also provide you a bill so you can file a claim with your insurance company.
Prenatal Breastfeeding Class- Giving Your Baby the Breast Start!
$25.00 for the mom to be and her partner/support person.
Classes are generally 2 1/2 hours long. This allows time to go over the information, practice different feeding positions and have a question and answer period.
I schedule classes in as comfortable an environment as possible for pregnant moms and in an environment that presents real life scenarios for the new breastfeeding mom; such as a room with couches to imitate a typical living room in someones home.
Participants are asked to bring a pillow, receiving blanket and a baby doll. We will be using these items to practice positioning, building pillow tables and swaddling.
I will give participants a packet with a synopsis of the information we go over in class, relevant charts and local area resources and internet resources.
Class participants will also receive a discount on any additional services.
