One on One Counseling - In-Home Help and Support
Moms who need breastfeeding support and counseling are most comfortable in their own home when dealing with breastfeeding issues. For this reason, I travel to the client's home to offer my help and support in the most relaxed and secure surroundings possible. Home visits allow the baby to be in an enviroment that is not overly stimulating, and provides me with a better understanding of what a typical feeding session looks like for each mother and child. Observing in-home also allows me to survey a mother's natural environment and make suggestions if I notice anything that could be altered to increase the comfort and ease of both mother and child during breastfeeding.
Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
Pregnant moms seeking information should attend a Comprehensive Prenatal Breastfeeding Class. I offer classes that contain up to date information and hands on instruction to give the mom, her partner and their baby the best start possible. Classes are instructed in small group sessions limited to 15 attendees and their partner/support person. Groups generally consist of moms, their partners and/or another support person. It is recommended that the class be taken between weeks 34 and 38 weeks so that should your baby arrive earlier than expected you will be prepared.
